Shephard Mechanical Contractors, Inc. specializes in commercial HVAC and mechanical projects and has been servicing the greater Sacramento area since 1990. We possess the experience, capabilities and resources to manage both small and large HVAC projects from $10,000 to $5 million. We have the facilities to fabricate our own ductwork and employ skilled and trained workers to provide quality installations.

We employ the most highly trained sheet metal workers in the industry. Our shop and field employees all go through a 5 year apprenticeship training program before turning out at the journeyman level. In this program they are taught to work effectively, safely, and to take pride in their workmanship. After their apprenticeship we encourage our employees to continue their education through additional courses and seminars.
Shephard Mechanical Contractors, Inc. strives to maintain solid relationships with our subcontractors and vendors. This means we treat all of our subs and vendors fairly and pay them promptly. Our commitment to these relationships gives them the ability to give us better prices than our competition that we can then pass on to our clients.
Shephard Mechanical Contractors, Inc. personnel are experienced construction team members with the knowledge and experience to successfully complete "plan and specification" work as well as "fast-track" and "design-build" projects. Computerized estimating and proactive project management in conjunction with the most highly trained and experienced field and shop personnel assure the best possible installations for our costumers.
Virginia Smyth
President
Virginia has over thirty-five years of experience in mechanical construction, her knowledge and expertise has gained her a lot of recognition in our industry. She has served our industry as president of SMACNA’s Sacramento Valley Chapter from 1994 to 1996 and as president of the Associated Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors of Sacramento in 1990 and 1991. She also has served as a board member of the Sacramento Builders Exchange. At this time she is a board member of the Sacramento Valley Chapter of SMACNA.
Facility
14,000 Square Foot Sheet Metal Fabrication Facility
In January of 2008 we moved to our new 14,000 sq. ft warehouse and office facility located in Sacramento, CA. The new facility includes larger space for administration, estimating, project management, and a conference room to meet with clients and subcontractors, as well as a larger shop for ductwork fabrication, automated plasma cutting, welding, & equipment storage.
